To explore new approaches to integrating climate change into fisheries policy, linked to Darwin project 20015. This will enable the Fellow to support government and scientists in Bangladesh to design and implement climate-robust policy. He will: a) Review the current policy environment to identify gaps that contribute to vulnerability of aquatic biodiversity, particularly fisheries depended upon by poor people; b) Explore ways to engage key stakeholders and decision makers with scenarios and models to co-produce policy options to improve resilience of Bangladesh's aquatic ecosystems; c) develop his research proposal and scientific paper writing skills and strengthen his international research network.
