Darwin Initiative Round 32 Funding Update Webinar, May 2026
On Thursday 28 May 2026, we hosted a Darwin Initiative Round 32 Funding Update Webinar. This webinar provided an update on the Darwin Initiative, outlining what has changed in Round 32, why these changes have been introduced, and what they mean in practice. There was also an opportunity for participants to ask questions.
The webinar was open to all potential applicants to Darwin Initiative Main, Extra, and Capability & Capacity schemes under Round 32.
Please note: this session did not cover detailed guidance on the application process or application forms. For any queries about the application process, please refer to the Round 32 Guidance for Applicants which can be found on the Apply page.
The slides from the sessions can be accessed here.
The webinar was recorded and can be viewed below.
Please note the BCFs adjusted the terminology from ‘Gender Equality and Social Inclusion’ to ‘Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion’ in September 2026 to align terminology with wider Defra programming. While Disability Inclusion was previously considered to be included within Social Inclusion and should already have been a consideration, applicants and projects should be aware of this change.
The above webinar was held prior to the change in terminology and therefore refers to ‘Gender Equality and Social Inclusion’.
