1) To develop the leadership, management and technical capabilities of a key member of the Comorian NGO Dahari.
2) To apply lessons learnt to improve the impact of Dahari and the ECDD project on the implementation of the CBD in the Comoros.
3) To develop regional and UK institutional support for the new local NGO.
This will be achieved through applied training in conservation management during the Durrell DESMAN course, training in English, on-the-job training in the management of conservation and rural development projects in Madagascar, and through mentoring and support from a number of conservation professionals in several institutions.
