Summary
The DI Scoping award will fund: meetings with local host country partners (FE, ANP, Indigenous leaders and private reserve managers) to achieve the following objectives:
• Develop project methods and budgets
• Catalogue and assess data quality of existing biodiversity datasets
• Determine training needs and capacity building requirements for the proposed monitoring network
• Assess on-site infrastructure requirements
• Identify mechanisms for long-term project support (identify exit scenarios)
• Identify in-kind funding mechanisms (short and long-term)
• Outline roles and responsibilities of project participants in draft Memorandum of Understanding
• Provide a GIS training workshop to initiate the integration of existing datasets
