Summary
This Scoping Award is to support project planning meetings and workshops with partners, and to undertake a preliminary site selection and feasibility analysis. The objectives of this scoping trip are to:
(i) Develop project work plan, timeline and partnerships for the sub-project “Improving sustainable marine tourism guidelines and polices in Indonesia”;
(ii) Develop project work plan, timeline and partnerships for the sub-project “Reducing mobulid ray bycatch within Indonesia’s small-scale fisheries”;
(iii) Develop project work plan, timeline and partnerships for the sub-project “Creating Indonesian leaders for shark and ray research and conservation”; and
(iv) Complete a site selection and feasibility assessment of potential mobulid ray fishery landing sites and coastal communities.
