Summary
Northeast India and eastern Bangladesh is an area rich in ethnic and biological diversity and home of the most western gibbon species, which is globally Endangered. This project will strengthen the capability and capacity of two conservation organizations in Bangladesh and India to scale up their community-based conservation programs and collaborate in transboundary gibbon conservation partly through sharing experiences and skills. Additionally, it will support them to empower grassroots community organizations in protecting biodiversity and natural resource management.
