Summary
The Tree Kangaroo Conservation Program will work together with Papua New Guinea’s YUS Conservation Area to strengthen the capability and capacity of customary landowner groups, government, and nongovernmental stakeholders in the equitable governance and effective management of the protected area. The project will enhance cooperative achievement of the protected area’s management objectives via the integration of community-based land use and natural resource management planning into local and provincial government planning processes, in support of biodiversity conservation and sustainable livelihoods.
