Summary
To develop a self-sustaining organisation that offers top quality training and follow-up support for young biologists, specifically to provide a means by which western technology and expertise can be transferred to countries rich in biodiversity but poor in resources.
29 MSc students trained in Uganda (2 week course) in management of National Parks and protected areas; 189 undergraduates / graduates trained on 8 month courses. Transfer of teaching skills to 19 East African lecturers and resource people; presentations; 3 TBA Council meetings; articles; newsletters.
