This project will improve pasture and peatland management in the Apolobamba protected area and the overlapping Marka Cololo de Antaquilla indigenous land to reduce threats to critical biodiversity habitat, improve the overall health of vicuña populations, and increase local capacity for fiber processing and marketing, thereby improving local livelihoods. Lessons learned will be shared with other vicuña herder organizations to promote biodiversity conservation and improve local livelihoods.
