Summary

Papua New Guinea’s Pacific International Coconut Genebank is jeopardised by lethal yellowing. Genebank transfer to a safe place in PNG and to new sites in Fiji and Samoa will safeguard existing and new accessions. Most-endangered zones will be explored for cultivars, and scientists trained in their conservation.
