The pandemic impacted on the livelihood of indigenous partners, increasing food insecurity while increasing wildlife hunting and gathering. This project aims to create local jobs for project participants, generating income covering a year’s supply of food staples. Local jobs will include:
• Gathering seeds of local species through forest transect walks.
• Planting and nurturing of seeds in a local ethnobotany garden.
• Research the adaptations families make to food gardens.
• Documenting traditional medicine used for respiratory syndromes.
