Summary

To assist the Mongolian authorities in meeting the urgent need to implement effective management of the large mammal resource in the KKSPA and buffer zone through the conduct of research to provide credible scientific data that can be used to develop a sustainable wildlife management policy that will enable both conservation and community development. The project will increase the Mongolian research community’s ability to sustain the research and raise awareness of sustainable resource use by involving key stakeholders from local communities such as Soum (local government unit), Park Environment Officers and members of the buffer zone management committee
