Project Summary:
Saint Helena has experienced significant water shortages and drought in the past 6 years. The provision of water on St Helena is intimately linked to the distribution of habitats, especially in the islands cloud forest. Data is needed to make predictions of the likely consequences of climate change to biodiversity conservation and sustainable water provision. Outcomes from the project would be used to support sectors including habitat management, disaster emergency planning, sustainable public water supply, agriculture and tourism.
