UK Overseas Territories are currently battling the infestation of fire ants causing disruption on the activities of the community, livelihoods and threatening biodiversity. Farmers and school children are facing the consequences of the painful sting of the fire ant affecting their daily activities and performance. By learning how to manage the fire ants in the UKOT, it will contribute to mitigating its negative impact in people’s lives, protecting the island’s biodiversity from further colonization and will prevent economic losses.
