Purpose: To work with the Amerindian communities in the Colombian Amazon in Leticia and surrounding areas looking for practical solutions to the conservation of the biodiversity of their environment.
Outputs: Hold training workshop on problems of deforestation. Establish 2 permanent plots to compare planting techniques. Establish species collection at the Universidad de Los Andes. Hold training workshop on phytochemistry techniques, plant propagation and soil fertility. Hold workshops and seminars to present results, and plant chemistry techniques. Publish information booklet and produce video. Submit papers to peer reviewed journals.
