i) to analyse existing institutional capabilities in the field of sustainable use and conservation of biodiversity; ii) develop an understanding of how different institutions and stakeholders perceive, interpret and deal with biodiversity values, iii) provide greater insight into how and why policy actors change their behaviour in response to the changes in an economic system.
