Summary

This project will advise the Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR) on methods to subdivide krill catch limits within the Scotia Sea, especially the Antarctic Peninsula, in order to minimise risk to krill-dependent predators, and develop sustainable fisheries. This will be achieved via the implementation of a risk ssessment framework, which will integrate existing spatial data relating to krill stocks, predator foraging and krill fisheries into data-layers at spatial and temporal scales relevant to ecosystem dynamics.
