Summary

Outcome: Improved health and welfare of Maasai communities in the Maasai Mara and Amboseli ecosystems through increased access to and uptake of alternative livelihoods options and healthcare (including family planning), leading to increased knowledge and commitment to support sustainable biodiversity conservation.Outputs: - Number of Maasai community members increased income through undertaking beekeeping in honey social enterprises, in Maasai Mara and Amboseli - % community members demonstrating commitment to support sustainable biodiversity conservation - including conservation and restoration of tree cover, flora and fauna - Number of couples have increased knowledge of family planning, and can access services, reducing unintended pregnancies - Published manual on best practice on PHE
