To attain greater knowledge of the ecology of the Bornean wild cat species, to inform the establishment of effective conservation strategies, to increase awareness of these felids and to enhance capacity for future research so increasing the potential for the improved protection of Borneo’s wild cats.

• A report providing recommendations for a Bornean Wild Cat Action Plan for Sabah and a project dissemination workshop
• Training in mammal field research techniques, resulting in increased human capacity in Malaysia for mammal field studies.
• Wild cat specific education programme, aimed at schools, communities & tourists, for use in DVFC environmental education centre, & 2 major tourist facilities in the region: Borneo Rainforest Lodge & Tabin Wildlife Resort.
• Report on the threats from hunting & trade on wild cat populations in & surrounding Tabin Wildlife Reserve
