Purpose: To study the useful and endangered species used by local people surrounding the Tam Dao National Park and establish a new mini botanical garden for the park.
Outputs: 1 person trained in UK in botanic garden management; 11 people per year trained in Vietnam in field methodologies; presentations; articles; 2 herbaria enhanced. Project Manager in Vietnam attended the 5th BGCI Congress in Cape Town; training of participants in 8 courses based in local villages; 1 operational botanic garden for the Tam Dao National Park; guidelines for sustainable management of priority plants from the National Park.
