Outputs: training for 2 Laotians in rattan identification; training in extension methods for participatory inventory of non-timber forest products and ecological surveys; 5 field plots in Nakai-Nam Protected Area; guide to the rattans; Lao National Rattan collection enhanced and duplicates lodged at other institutions; MSc; scientific papers; management plan; identification guide; computer database.
