Purpose: To provide a scientific basis for government policy regarding management of conflicts between raptors and rural livelihoods in the Falkland Islands, particularly sheep farming.
Outputs: 1. Advance understanding of Falklands’ raptors’ biology, ecology, biogeography, and behaviour in relation to agricultural livelihoods. 2. Raise public awareness and understanding of the ecological role of raptors. 3. Species Action Plan for Striated Caracara. 4. National Plan of Action for managing conflicts between raptors and rural livelihoods.
