The Darwin Initiative is a UK government grants scheme that helps to protect biodiversity and the natural environment through locally based projects worldwide.
We are pleased to announce that applications are now open for Round 27 of Darwin Main, Partnership and Fellowship projects. Further information on how to apply and details on the eligibility criteria please read the Guidance for applicants to the Darwin Initiative.
From Round 27, ODA eligible UK Overseas Territories (Montserrat, St Helena, Tristan da Cunha and Pitcairn) should apply through Darwin Main. All other UKOTs should continue to apply through Darwin Plus. Please note that this year Upper Middle Income Countries (UMICs) are now fully eligible, see the guidance for further details. As in previous rounds all applications will be required to be submitted via the online portal system Flexi-Grant which can be accessed here.
