New Projects Workshops, June 2023

In June 2023, three events were hosted for new projects funded under Darwin Initiative Round 29.

Webinar: Finance, administrative and technical reporting

On Thursday 1 June 2023, a webinar was held to provide guidance to new projects on finance, administrative and technical reporting for all three Biodiversity Challenge Fund projects (Darwin Initiative, Darwin Plus, IWT Challenge Fund).

The aim of this webinar was to welcome newly funded projects, and provide advice and support relating to financial, administrative and technical reporting.

This webinar was open to anyone with an interest in understanding how their project should be managed – Project Leaders, technical team members, finance and administrative staff. This event was open to all new Biodiversity Challenge Funds projects.

Capability & Capacity Workshop Session: M&E Plan and Standard Indicators

On Wednesday 7 June 2023, two workshops were held to provide new Darwin Initiative Capability and Capacity and IWT Challenge Fund projects with the opportunity to consider their project’s monitoring and evaluation plans and understand new requirements related to Standard Indicators through presentations and group work exercises with other new projects. The morning and afternoon sessions were identical, repeated only to cater for time zones. 

The workshop was designed to inform new projects funded under Round 29 of the Darwin Initiative Capability & Capacity and Round 9 of the IWT Challenge Fund, and was open to Project Leaders and technical team members.

Main, Extra and Innovation Workshop Session: M&E Plan and Standard Indicators

On Friday 9 June 2023, two workshops were held to provide new Darwin Initiative Main, Extra and Innovation projects with the opportunity to consider their project’s monitoring and evaluation plans and understand new requirements related to Standard Indicators through presentations and group work exercises with other new projects. The morning and afternoon sessions were identical, repeated only to cater for time zones. 

The workshop was designed to inform new projects funded under Round 29 of the Darwin Initiative Main, Extra and Innovation, and was open to Project Leaders and technical team members.
