Purpose: To support the protection and recovery of the Tabuna Forest and its wildlife, while promoting the sustainable use of resources by local communities through an integrated research, practical management, capacity building and protection programme.
Outputs: GIS enhanced map of forest fragments; tree nursery; biological surveys; assessment of local resource use; market assessment on feasibility of commercial production; recovery plan for threatened species; forest restoration workshop for 15 local managers; training workshop on survey techniques; workshop on rural business planning; forest restoration and tree propagation manual; long term forest management and development plan.
