Purpose: To prepare a management plan for the sustainable conservation of the biological resources within the Akagera National Park.
Outputs: 6 weeks training for 3 field assistants on species identification, surveying techniques, methods for recording and storing data and data analysis; surveys of the entire park region (especially vegetation mapping, large mamma, tste fly and and water mapping); systematic observation of focal animals; computer database; inventory of flora and fauna; report on strategies for conservation of the biodiversity and park management; scientific papers
