DESCRIPTION: We will develop datasets, increase understanding, and build vital capacity for participatory and evidence-based systems to allocate Community Land Claims in Kalimantan, Indonesia. This will deliver social and ecological justice by improving understanding of the linkages between ecological systems and human wellbeing, resulting in legal reform and improved governance.
OUTCOME: Development of transparent decision-making processes for approving CLCs and protecting forest, which meets environmental and developmental goals, incorporates evidence-based and participatory approaches, and can be replicated in other provinces.
